Naga Shaurya has never looked better in his career than he's in Varudu Kaavalenu (that releases on October 29). The actor, besides his good looks, has the right screen-presence, the vulnerability and the maturity to pull off a wide range of roles. It's not surprising to listen to his confidence about Varudu Kaavalenu, where his terrific on-screen chemistry with Ritu Varma has hit the news recently. Ahead of what promises to be one of the more crucial films in his career, the actor has no nerves and is sure about its commercial potential.

"I first heard the script of Varudu Kaavalenu at the success party of Chalo in 2018. The film took its time to be made, nearly four years but I'm very happy with the way it has shaped up. Though I immediately said yes to the story in the first narration, I had a few doubts about it while it was getting made. However, when I noticed the film's rushes on the edit table, I realised that it is shaping up quite well and beyond my expectations. My confidence about the film has only increased after I've watched the final cut," the actor says.

The actor believes that women are excellent at man-management and have a lot of patience to deal with any issues or problems that arise during the making of a film. "They don't get agitated very easily and react only if necessary. As a director when you need to deal with nearly 500-600 people on the set, this quality is very essential. Lakshmi Sowjanya is a wonderful filmmaker and a perfectionist, who's very clear about how her film needs to look, her characters need to behave. She has an eye for little details and that's what has made the film special," Naga Shaurya adds.

He calls it an honour to deliver dialogues written by director Trivikram for a particular sequence in Varudu Kaavalenu, which was initially planned to be a surprise, but the latter had chosen to reveal it at yesterday's pre-release event of the film. Naga Shaurya has hinted he may collaborate with his Varudu Kaavalenu co-star Ritu Varma again for a film and that they shared a warm professional rapport through its making. He told the audiences need to watch out for the spectacular performances of Nadhiya and Murali Sharma.

When asked if he was interested to enter the OTT space, he opined, "I won't say OTT content is good or bad but I don't think so I'm ready for it yet. As an actor, I prefer to watch myself on the big screen more." The actor's upcoming films include the archery-based sports drama Lakshya, a project under his home banner and another film with Srinivas Avasarala titled Phalana Ammayi Phalana Abbayi. "I am game to try scripts in different kinds of genres but will never want to do a film where the family audiences will feel uncomfortable."
