Hansal Mehta and Pratik Gandhi reunited with Modern Love Mumbai after creating the magnificent Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. In the film, helmed by the filmmaker, the actor plays the role of a gay man who falls in love with Ranveer Brar's character but anyhow wishes to express it to his Baai (Tanuja). The beautiful short film struck the right chords with the masses soon after Modern Love Mumbai premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

Meanwhile, during an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, Gandhi was asked about how the working relationship between Mehta and him has evolved over the years. The actor stated, "So right from day one, I mean, the first time I met him on the set, and we started working, I never felt that I didn't know this person or we were working for the first time. He's very warm as a person and he's a good human being, so that natural affinity of the energy works very well. He's very sensitive, so rightly. He understands actors very well. So I keep saying that he's the actor's director."

Gandhi further said, "He gives you your space. He lets you be and create those emotions and moments. The most interesting thing about him is that he never says 'cut'. He will let you know to finish that entire emotion till you feel it's okay. At that point, it's not supposed to be said, he feels it behind the camera, and that's when he says 'cut', so that's a very natural thing for him."
