Exclusive! Shehzada star Kriti Sanon on working on an OTT show: Not bound by what is coming where; I just want...

Kriti Sanon is one of the most prominent and talented actresses in B-town. She has significantly boosted the box office with her acting in movies like Mimi, Luka Chuppi, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Hum Do Hamare Do. She last appeared with Varun Dhawan in the movie Bhediya. The actress is now all set to star with Kartik Aaryan in Shehzada which was set to be released on February 10, but now has been pushed back by a week and will now be released on February 17, 2023. 

Prior to the release of the movie, Kriti opened up to OTTplay in a candid interview. In it, she discussed her ambition to work on a full-fledged OTT web show, how important content is to her, and her upcoming projects.

When asked if she has any plans of doing a full fledged web show, the actress said, "I would love to do a show. I haven't come across anything exciting enough yet but putting it out in the universe that I would love to do a very cool, edgy show because I personally love watching web series. It's a medium that I haven't explored yet and I would love to do a quirky and edgy character. The biggest film of my life 'Mimi' got all the love from OTT, which was made for theatres but couldn't make it there but I believe my OTT debut is pretty successful."

She went on to add that, "I don't think I am bound by what is coming where (OTT or Theatres). Ultimately, it comes down to the content."

The actress then talked about her exciting upcoming project, 'The Crew', in which she stars alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu and was announced a while ago. The Dilwale actress says, "I am working with female actresses whom I admire; we don't get to do this very frequently, and you can sense the joy in my voice. The connection between the three characters is the main theme of this movie. Since we belong to three different generations, getting together will be fun."

Meanwhile, Shehzada is an upcoming action film, helmed by Rohit Dhawan and is Aaryan's debut as a co-producer. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind and Kartik Aaryan. It also stars Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar. The film is an official Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramloo which stars Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, Tabu, Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad, and others.
