Exclusive! TVF Pitchers actor Naveen Kasturia on being typecast: I've already been and I can't help it

On December 12, the eagerly anticipated Pitchers Season 2 trailer was released. The first season of the TVF-produced show, which debuted in 2015, is currently making a comeback with a new season. With a star rating of 9.1, Pitchers is one of the best-rated Indian television shows. 

In a special conversation with OTTplay, Naveen Kasturia talks about what newness the second season of Pitchers will bring, he said, "Season two will show my character in the war and now here you will see how he survives there, if he'll loosen anywhere, he'll be killed as he have no other option but survival, so no you'll not experience something similar in the second season but something else, you'll experience something very different."

As we all know that Naveen has been a part of TVF Pitchers as well as Aspirants, so when asked if he is acred of being typecast for the kind of characters he plays, the actor said, "I've already been and it's organic, I can't help it. But that's the struggle you have to fight and look for opportunities that you have not done yet. So I keep trying and looking for those."

The second season of the show focuses on expanding the business and surviving in the competitive world of start-ups, whereas the first season focused on four friends quitting their day jobs and founding a company together. Naveen Kasturia, Arunabh Kumar, Abhay Mahajan, Abhishek Banerjee, Ridhi Dogra, Sikander Kher, Gopal Dutt, and Ashish Vidyarthi are all featured prominently in the series, which is directed by Vaibhav Bundhoo. 

Pitchers, a 5-episode series, will begin streaming on ZEE5 on December 23.
