Mathu Vadalara 2 is all set to hit the screens on September 12, 2024. Faria Abdullah plays the female lead and she talks about her role, singing and composing a song for the film, future projects, and dreams of doing a film with Prabhas.
Yes, you can say that. Some films have worked but not the range of Jathi Ratnalu. But I feel Mathu Vadalara 2 will bring me back into the game. The fun comedy has come out hilariously and my role is also quite good.
The moment the story was ready Ritesh wanted a girl who could play the role of an agent. He was very particular that the character needs to be very tall and hence, I was the obvious choice due to my height and the kind of roles I have played.
I play the role of Sannidhi in the sequel. Simha Koduri and Satya are my co-agents and we share a crackling chemistry. I played the role to the best of my capabilities and enjoyed holding real guns and doing the action part. I was waiting to play an action character and this film gave me a chance to go all out.
The story continues from the first part and Simha and Satya are now special agents. I join them on a mission. The comedy arises from a very serious situation in the film and how the key characters get entangled in a mess one after the other is showcased in a very hilarious manner.
Ritesh has a wacky sense of humor and the same was showcased in the promo. The comedy in Mathu Vadala is loud and has tongue-in-cheek humor. The one-liners, fun situations, and how the characters react are showcased beautifully by the director Ritesh. After the first part's success, he is back again with a fun-filled comedy.
I am a huge music lover and specialize in a style of dancing. When this idea of a special number came in, I had given so many inputs. That is when the music director Kaala Bhairava felt that I should sing the song myself. When we were ready to shoot the song, our director Ritesh came in and said as the song was being shot on me, I should also choreograph it. So, with Mathu Vadalara, I have turned into a singer and choreographer as well.
I have a film lined up with Thiruveer which will go on the floors soon. My Tamil film, Vallimayil is all set for a release soon. I have banked heavily on this film and feel that it will bring me back in the game and I hope to fulfill my dream of working with Prabhas one day.
