Radhika Mehrotra is happy with the positive response to her web show Kaala Paani. Directed by Sameer Saxena and Amit Golani, the web series premiered on Netflix on October 18, 2023. The 7-episode show opened to a thunderous response from the audience. In Kaala Paani, Radhika played the role of Dr Ritu Gagra.
Days after Kaala Paani was released, OTTplay caught up with Radhika for an exclusive interview. In conversation with us, the actress revealed the most challenging part of the series.
Radhika on challenges faced during Kaala Paani's shoot
When Radhika was asked if any sequence in Kaala Paani was physically draining for her, the actress told OTTplay, "I had to shoot a lot in PPE kits. We started off with just masks and we got used to it. When you wear the mask, a lot of fog is formed and you have all the dialogues that you have to say. You do go out of breath when you constantly have the mask on. But we got used to it. We were like 'We have a hang of this now and we will do this'."

Mehrotra further mentioned, "When you get into that kit... you will know it once you wear the whole thing. It is really difficult. It is like a sauna in there, very hot. Then, to be able to perform all the scenes that you had to perform – that was very challenging. But I think it also helped and gave us an insight into what doctors and researchers, who are doing this every day, go through. And it all just becomes very real for you. That was the challenging bit."
