Amruta Khanvilkar speaks about OTT censorship

In an exclusive chat with us, Amruta Khanvilkar said that certain content on OTT should be censored. The actress added that streaming platforms are a place where everybody can access content. "More than anybody, I am worried about the children. When I say children, I am not saying kids but the ones who are below 16 or 18—even they can watch all the content on OTT platforms," Khanvilkar told OTTplay.

The actress recalled watching a series on the life of (American serial killer) Jeffrey Dahmer. Revealing how she felt after watching the show, Amruta said, "I watched a web series, and (despite) being an adult, I was disturbed (after watching it). It plays with your mind and your brain. It really affects you in a certain way."

Continuing her conversation with OTTplay, Amruta said certain things should get banned in the digital space in India, because "we are so sensitive as a society". "I feel nudity should get banned a bit. I also feel that jo cheez jis age mein honi chahiye vo ussi age mein honi chahiye," added Khanvilkar.
