For those who are unaware, Mohammed Ashiq was a part of MasterChef India 7. However, he was disqualified. The 24-year-old didn't give up on his dream and gave it another shot. While his family supported him last time, Mohammed told OTTplay that his mother didn't support him this season.
"This year, I didn't get support from my mom. She said, "You have to go to Saudi (Arabia), you can't go for MasterChef. MasterChef is nothing. They want popular people". But I told my mom I had to give my best this time and I had to prove myself. Then, I went for the audition. After I went for the audition, she was fine. And after knowing that I won, she is happy and people are calling her. Everybody is like 'aapka beta hai na jo MasterChef mein gaya hai'. They are very proud and say I made Mangalore proud. She is very happy," revealed Mohammed.
