Mother's Day 2023: Sanya Malhotra reveals she enjoys watching Sunil Dutt movies with her mom | Exclusive

Mother is the word that cannot be defined, yet it's the most defined in the world. The creator and the birthgiver are considered the highest and first people to think of when sad, happy, or even in trouble. For Mother's Day 2023, we exclusively caught up with Sanya Malhotra, wherein we asked her quick questions about her mother.

When asked what movies she likes to watch with her mother, the Dangal actor told OTTplay, "Any film that makes me happy. Whenever I am at home, my mom's favourite actor is Sunil Dutt, and she definitely watches his movies. Any movie that I watch on TV, she sits and watches with me."

Sanya also revealed that Rajma Chawal, cooked by her mom, is her favourite food ever.

On being asked what's one thing for which she got scolded from her mom, the actor, with no surprise, said, "Studies." She stated, "In my studies, I was very lazy. I was more interested in extracurricular activities. I used to study, but I still got scolded a lot."

Sanya will next be seen in the Netflix satire Kathal, in which she plays a small-town cop who is on the hunt for a stolen jackfruit. Yashowardhan Mishra is the film's director, and it takes place in a small Indian town. The Netflix film will premiere on May 19, 2023.

She will also appear in the upcoming action flick Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi. The film will release on September 7, 2023. In addition, the actor also has the Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur, which is a biopic on Sam Manekshaw. Sanya plays the role of his onscreen wife in the Meghna Gulzar directorial. Sam Bahadur also features Fatima Sana Shaikh as Indira Gandhi and is scheduled to release on December 1, 2023.
