Panchayat Season 5 Confirmed: Rinki aka Sanvikaa reveals when fans can expect the new season | Exclusive

The anticipation and excitement for the release of Panchayat Season 4 are all real, as the series is releasing on Prime Video on June 24. Fans were delighted with an earlier release date (June 24) a few weeks ago; otherwise, it was originally scheduled for a July 2 release. The trailer for the series looks promising as it will explore more wit, humor, and emotional sides. Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) vs Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar), Rinki (Sanvikaa) and Sachiv Ji (Jitendra Kumar) love story, and more are yet to unfold in Panchayat Season 4. Ahead of the release, Sanvikaa sat for an interview with OTTplay, where she discussed various interesting topics related to the series, including Panchayat Season 5!

Sanvikaa on Panchayat Season 4 release date shifts from July 2 to June 24

In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Sanvikaa was asked about the release date change from July 2 to June 24. Reacting to this, she said, "I was firm at one standpoint that whenever it releases, whether July 2 or June 24, there is that constant state of mixed feelings of nervousness, excitement. When the series will be shown to the audience, we cannot know what the response will be, and until it releases, we cannot know how it is, so I will be in the same state until that." 

Sanvikaa on discovering surprising thing about her Rinki role in Panchayat 4

"I feel that Rinki has a fighting spirit and that spirit for the love of her family, which was shown visibly and beautifully in season 4, like how she is so supportive of her mother (Manju Devi) to make her win the battle. So that fighting spirit was created in the new season. I think I have discovered in Panchayat Season 4."

When asked if any unexpected moments or improvisations happened during filming, that she will always cherish, Sanvikaa told us, "There were some scenes and I had a great time shooting those, which I cannot reveal (smiles). Apart from that whenever people used to come to our sets during our shooting, especially on Saturday and Sunday, the crowd was amazing, and we had bodyguards."

She further added, "So in that moment, I felt like so many people had come, standing outside our vanity to take photos, so that love that has been coming from different parts of India jut to meet us, have a look at us to see how the shooting takes place, and all so these were new to me everytime. People come with different emotions every time. Some bring gifts, handmade gifts, greeting cards, they also bring children and they call me 'Rinki didi' so I feel good about it.

Sanvikaa on Rinki and Sachiv Ji love story

When asked for interesting revelations about Rinki and Sachiv Ji's love story, Sanvikaa said, "It is interesting and you can know after the release (smiles). The development of Sachiv Ji and Rinki's love story that is much-awaited, people can get a light flavour of it in the new season. However, what will happen in the future we don't know, but yes, it is interesting." 

Sanvikaa confirms Panchayat Season 5

Speaking to us, Sanvikaa confirmed Panchayat 5. She said, "The process for Panchayat Season 5 has begun, and hopefully, maybe by mid-next year or sometime in next year, it will be released. And we are likely to begin the shoot for season 5, maybe at the end of this year or next year, so writing has started. So once the writing is done, we will start shooting."
