Will Pennu Case have a sequel?
Febin, also a co-writer of Pennu Case, stated in an interview with OTTplay that they do not have any plans for a sequel, despite some people's confusion over some plot points. "People are undoubtedly curious about Rohini's past. But we would rather let them interpret it," he stated.
The young director continued by saying that when they were writing the script, they had two main goals in mind: first, they didn't want to give the protagonist a name, and second, they didn't want to expose the precise motivation for her acts. He went on to say that a person can commit a crime without having a painful past or an emotional motivation. "I would like to think of Rohini as an alien, somebody who just came and left one fine day". Febin marked his directorial debut with this movie, which also stars Aju Varghese, Hakim Shahjahan, Ramesh Pisharody, Shivajith, and Irshad Ali.
What is the plot of Nikhila Vimal's Pennu Case?
The main character of the movie is a young woman named Rohini who is arrested for tricking guys into getting married. Manoj, the case manager, finds himself in a peculiar predicament where he is unable to comprehend the problem. After hearing about her tricking men in various rural parts of Kerala and Karnataka, Manoj and his squad of police officers find it humorous, but they eventually begin to investigate the truth about her behaviour. Whether Rohini is an organised criminal or a victim of an extensive nefarious network is the primary focus of the film.
