One of the special aspects of Ramam Raghavam is that Dhanraj has not only acted in the film but also directed it. This marks his directorial debut, making him the second comedian after Venu Yeldandi to transition into filmmaking.
The film revolves around a father-son relationship, where a helpless father is forced to go against his own son and put him in jail to set things right. Ramam Raghavam is packed with deep emotional moments, especially between Samuthirakani and Dhanraj, which have been effectively highlighted in the promotional material.
Speaking about the film, Dhanraj revealed that Ramam Raghavam also features a love track, which is inspired by his own love story. "The love angle in the film is quite organic and not forced. I have recreated my own love story, and trust me, it will be an added bonus—it’s not there just for the sake of it," says Dhanraj.

Dhanraj also adds that he worked for nine long months on the story of the film with his team and only when the makers were confident, he went ahead with the shoot. "Though the film took a lot of time to get wrapped up, the final output is what matters" says Dharanj.
Interestingly, Dhanraj also shared that there was initial resistance within the industry regarding Samuthirakani's involvement in the film. Many advised the veteran actor not to play the role of Dhanraj's father, but Samuthirakani believed in the story and came on board. His performance is expected to be one of the film’s major highlights.
