Sathish Ninasam's upcoming release 'Godhra', which also stars Shraddha Srinath in the lead, is up for a title change. The update comes about following a recent mandate shared by the censor board which urged the makers to opt for a new title citing a potential controversy. Although 'Godhra', the film, makes no reference to the town of Godhra in Gujarat or the 2002 civil riots in the state, the makers of the upcoming Kannada film were compelled to change the title to avoid any possible confusion or controversy.

In this vein, team 'Godhra' is now working towards picking a new title which, Sathish Ninasam, should be revealed to the public in a week's time. "The censor board reckoned that we change the title so as to avoid any controversy. While the entire team was keen on retaining the name, the process would have involved taking it up with the tribunal and so on but since the film is ready for release, the final call was made to pick a new title. We are currently working on the new name for the film and plan on announcing it within a week. The film is likely to release in June," says Sathish.

'Godhra' is a thriller centered on a love story with Shraddha Srinath playing the female lead. Both Sathish and Shraddha will be seen as journalists in the film and it is the former's fueled passion for politics and social change in the story that brings about the thriller elements. Achyuth Kumar and Vasishta N. Simha too play pivotal roles in the film that has been written and directed by K.S. Nandeesh and produced by Jacob Films and Leader Film Production.

Sathish Ninasam will also be seen in Vijaya Prasad's comedy-drama 'Petromax' opposite Hariprriya and 'Dasara' alongside Sharmiela Mandre and Rukmini Vijayakumar. Shraddha Srinath, on the other hand, has managed to etch a niche for herself in other south Indian languages and has films in both Telugu and Tamil in the offing.
