Yes, in a way it was a conscious decision. Post the massive success of Tillu Square, I wanted to be very cautious and did not want to release my next just to cash in on the success. That is the main reason Jack was delayed in the first place. Both I and director Bhaskar brainstormed a lot and also wasted a lot of time to lock the script and shoot. But I am very happy with the final output and hope the audience will love it too.
Bhaskar gave me a free hand to work on the film. He was ready with the script and told me, "I want you to do this in a certain way," and I went all out. Though there were a lot of discussions, and whenever I went overboard, he corrected me, and it was teamwork.
I take full blame for that. We have multiple musicians composing for the film. The songs that they have given are decent but not up to my standards. I think my judgment failed this time and there are no two ways about it. But still, the songs will nicely gel in the narration.
That is not the fact. People like to always hear negative stuff and that is the reason I am always in the news. I openly admit that I always had creative differences with all my directors, but that only happens for the betterment of the film. As this news dominates the web, my directors get sidelined.
Yes, we have purposely limited Vaishnavi's role in the film. If we reveal more, a few twists will be out. She plays a Muslim girl in the film and has given a hilarious performance. Our chemistry will be solid and everyone will love Vaishnavi.
That is my nature. I always feel that you should be seen in the media only when your film comes out. There is no need for you to be on social media and give your whereabouts to the public. I am a very private person and would love to be like that for everyone.
Post Jack, there is Telusu Kada with Neeraja Kona. She is a debut director and has made the film in a very impressive manner. Then, there is Badass and then a few more films which I will announce soon. As of now, I am so stressed about Jack as I have worked so hard on the film.
