Here's why VJ Sunny revealed that Sound Party is filled with hilarious surprises

Sound Party is an upcoming Telugu film that has VJ Sunny in the lead role. The comedy caper will be released on November 24, 2023. Ahead of its release, Sunny spoke to OTTplay about playing the lead in the film, the over-the-top comedy, his struggles as an actor, and much more. 

'My dream has come true with Sound Party'

Telugu Bigg Boss 5 winner VJ Sunny plays the main lead in Sound Party. When asked about playing a lead man in a film for the first time, he said, "After my Bigg Boss stint, this is the best thing to have happened to me. My dream has come true and I am confident that Sound Party will be a hit."

'I play a careless youth in Sound Party'

Speaking about his role, VJ Sunny says, "I play a crazy youth and seasoned actor Sivannarayana Garu plays my father. Father and son share a friendly bond, which is one of the highlights of the film. How a small incident brings them closer and how they fight against all odds to become rich makes for an interesting watch. My scenes and chemistry with Sivannarayana Garu will evoke a lot of laughs."

'Bitcoin is an very important part of the film'

Bitcoin is used extensively in the film. When asked about the same, Sunny says, " Not many know what virtual currency is and the climax is whether my father and I will get rich due to Bitcoins. Middle-class families have certain limitations and the story of the film is how Bitcoins change the life of a family."

'Making people laugh is very hard'

When asked about essaying a comic role, Sunny says, "Sound Party is a comic entertainer that doesn't hurt anybody. The amount of comedy in the film is quite high and we have tried something new, keeping the fun factor intact. I hope the audience likes it. When it comes to performing comedy, it is very hard. I played a serious role in my debut web series, ATM, and here I had to be over the top, which was very difficult to perform".

'There is a surprise element in Sound Party'

When we asked about the highlights of Sound Party, Sunny said, "There is a surprise element that is hilarious. Nobody will expect such an element in the movie. We have taken a risk with this and I am waiting to find out how the audience will receive it".

'Vennela Kishore gave his full support to the film'

VJ Sunny has high regards for star comedian Vennela Kishore, who has lent his voice to the comedy caper. "Vennela Kishore heard the story and readily accepted to lend his voice to a very fun character. After this movie, Sivannarayana Garu will be back in the limelight. He is an under-explored talent."

'From being a reporter to playing the main lead, life has come full circle'

Not many know that VJ Sunny was a journalist who later turned into an actor, did TV shows and then found fame with Bigg Boss. When asked about his journey, Sunny says, "I come with no background in films and have struggled to get to where I am today. I do not want to let go of any opportunity to showcase my talent, and Sound Party will showcase me as a complete actor".
