Kajol also said, "I need to be comfortable, and I need to live my life."
Kajol has been making several public appearances in the city, and the paparazzi never fail to capture her. The photographers take pictures of not only the actor but also her daughter, Nysa Devgan. In her latest series, The Trial, the actor is also seen as a lawyer who comes under the public eye due to her onscreen husband's wrongdoings.
During an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, Kajol was asked how she ensures that the paparazzi culture doesn't encroach upon or affect her in any way, as it's not just her but also her children who get involved. The actor stated, "I think the line is in my head and pretty much drawn very clearly as far as the paparazzi are concerned. I think they also realise that I'm not calling them, so if they find me somewhere, 'Arre, tukka lag gaya, mil gayi,' it's that more than anything else."
The actor added, "Plus, I have that kind of respect that they respect my space, they respect the distance, and they know that they can only go so far and no further. There is only one point at which I can be worried about this; after that, I will do my own thing."
Kajol went on to say, "I will walk out in my track pants. I'm going to wear whatever I like to the airport without worrying about who's going to say what to it or who's going to be looking at it. I need to be comfortable, and I need to live my life. I can't stop living my life because I'm worried about scrutiny, etc."
Kajol's photos and videos go viral on the Internet as she gets into banter with the paparazzi often. Moreover, even her daughter Nysa strikes up a conversation with the photographers.
Meanwhile, The Trial is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
