Varun Sood is currently basking in the glory of his web show Call Me Bae's success. The actor played the role of Prince Bhasin in the series headlined by his co-star Ananya Panday. Following the first season's success, the makers recently announced Call Me Bae season 2. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Varun reflected on his show's success, working with Ananya Panday and season 2 of Call Me Bae.
While interacting with us, Varun expressed gratitude to the audience for accepting Call Me Bae with love. The actor said, "The show was made with a lot of love and passion. Everybody was working towards the same goal. We wanted a fresh, very breezy show to come to India. We are glad that the audience accepted it. I am really happy that we have season two coming up very soon."
Varun further shared his experience of working with his co-star Ananya Panday and called her a 'good leader'. "I love Ananya! She is too good. She is a very good friend. The fact that as the lead of the show, she kept everybody together as a very good leader. She's 25-year-old and the things she is doing at that age are phenomenal," he added. The actor added that Ananya is one of the most talked about and liked actresses in India.

For those who've come in late, Call Me Bae has been directed by filmmaker Collin D'Cunha. In this series, Ananya played the character of Bella Chowdhary aka Bae. Varun and Ananya shared screen space with Vihaan Samat, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Muskaan Jaferi, and others.
Meanwhile, Varun had three OTT releases this year. The year began with his series Karmma Calling on Disney+ Hotstar, followed by Naam Namak Nishan's release on Amazon MX Player and Call Me Bae's release on Amazon Prime Video.
His new show, Reality Ranis Of The Jungle, has premiered on Discovery. The show, hosted by Varun, went on air on September 23 at 10 pm.
