22 Female Kottayam

Produced under the banner Film Brewery and directed by Aashiq Abu, “22 Female Kottayam”, a 2012 movie, streams on MX Player, Amazon Prime Video, and Jio Cinema. This Malayalam movie falls into the revenge-thriller genre, starring Rima Kallingal as Tessa K. Abraham and Fahadh Faasil as Cyril C. Mathew. This movie comes up with a plot where a nurse walks on a revenge path after she gets cheated on by her lover and sexually assaulted by her employer. The winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, 22 Female Kottayam, is roughly based on Ek Hasina Thi and I Spit On Your Grave. Aashiq got his confidence to initiate this project after the success of his former film, “Salt N' Pepper.” Later, the film was remade in Tamil and Telugu language as Malini 22 Palayamkottai and Malini 22 Vijayawada.
