Apothecary, released in 2014, is directed by Madhav Ramadasan and falls into the thriller genre. This Malayalam movie stars Suresh Gopi as Dr. Vijay Nambiar and Jayasurya as Subin Joseph. It is streaming on MX Player and Amazon Prime Video. The winner of the Kerala State Film Award as Special Jury Mention depicts the story of a neurosurgeon, who steps into an anguished situation when learns about the unethical activity that goes around him without him noticing. While Madhav’s film made Jayasurya go through a physical transformation to look realistically sick, it also marks the comeback of Abhirami as Vijay’s wife on the screen.
