Appu, a 2002 movie is directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is a Kannada romantic-comedy film with a gist of the action, starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Rakshita in the leads. This movie explores romance, comedy as well as action when the protagonist falls in love with Suchithra, played by Rakshita. The protagonist being Appu, played by Puneeth, goes to extreme measures to make Suchi(Suchitra) accept his love. Puneeth is an Indian actor and playback singer with anchoring talents, shines in the role of Appu while picking up fights in college and thrashing a policeman in disguise just to prove his love.
