Apur Panchali

Directed by award winning director Kaushil Ganguly, Apur Panchali is a 2013 Bengali language film based on the life of actor Subir Banerjee starring Ardhendu Bannerjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Parambrata Chatterjee & Parno Mitra. The story is a parallel journey between the lives of actor Subir Banerjee and the character he played as a young artist called Apu in Satyajit Ray's masterpiece 'Pather Panchali'. Old Subir Banerjee heads on a journey with Arka to receive an award in Germany. Subir narrates his entire life story to Arka on the way to Germany where he seems almost nostalgic and regretful of the choices he made in the past.
