Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi is a 1988 Indian-Marathi language film directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar. It is a comedy film which follows the story of four friends in search of a rental place to live. They find such a place but the landlady only allows married couples. The friends brainstorm and get the brilliant idea of living as a couple - two men and two others dressed as women. What follows is pure comedy. The film with all four boys getting married with their respective partners. Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi is a Marathi cinema classic. It is inspired from Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1966’s Biwi aur Makan.
