Ashke

Ashke is a 2018 Indian Punjabi - language film that is directed and written by Amberdeep Singh. This is a romantic drama film that stars Amrinder Gill, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Roopi Gill, Sarbjit Cheema, Jaswinder Bhalla and Gurshabad. The film is based on the Punjabi folk dance, Bhangra. The film follows the life of a Bhangra dancer, Pamma who is full of life and is studying in Khalsa university. But when his ties are broken with his college friends and the love of his life, he leaves Bhangra and moves with her sister in Canada. 15 years later, his nephew, Ekam discovers his talent and encourages his dreams. This encouragement will prove to be life changing for Pamma.
