Captain Fantastic

Captain Fantastic is a 2016 American comedy drama film, written and directed by Matt Ross. The film follows the story of a couple with 6 kids and how they raise them. Ben Cash and Leslie live in the forests, with their children and have very specific morals in life. They despise capitalism and prefer to enjoy life by subsiding with nature in the wilderness. However, Leslie’s bipolar disorder hospitalises her and she takes her own life. Leslie’s father wants her to have a traditional funeral. Ben and his 6 kids decide to take a road trip to Leslie’s funeral. They stay with Ben's sister and experience a different sort of life. The funeral is usurped by Ben’s speech and they leave soon. From that moment on, the kids doubt the parenting they’ve been raised in. In the end the family moves out of the wild and stays at a farm.
