Captain Phillips

Captain Phillips is a 2013 American biographical drama-thriller film, directed by Paul Greengrass. The film follows the story of Captain Richard Phillips and the hijacking of an American cargo ship by Somali pirates in 2009. Captain Phillips is to guide the ship from Oman to Kenya. The route is pretty treacherous as there are pirates on the lookout. However Somalian pirates attack the ship and take over it. Everyone except Captain Phillips is taken away. Their plan is to seize the ship and it’s captain and take away insurance money worth in millions. However, towards the end the pirates are in no control and are shot dead. Captain Phillips survives this tormenting experience.
