Casino is a 1995 American crime drama film, directed by Martin Scorsese. The film follows the story of a gambling and betting jew man, his personal life, his rise and fall and his friend’s role in it. The film is based on true incidents. Sam Rothstein runs Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas. He brings in a lot of money to the Italian mafia in Chicago. To assist him, the mafia sends Nicky Santoro. Nicky is hot headed and a friend of Sam. As the story progresses, Sam meets Ginger McKenna, who’s a street smart hustler. Sam marries Ginger and everything’s going well. He is earning a good deal of money. But trouble finds Sam in different forms. He faces heat from Las Vegas officials, his marriage becomes shaky, Nicky draws a lot of heat on both of them. With time, Sam loses power and control over his marriage and his casino. Towards the end, Nicky and Ginger die, due to their respective mistakes and failures. Nicky luckily survives a car explosion and he retires back to San Diego, with his daughter.
