Channa Mereya

Channa Mereya is a 2017 Indian Punjabi - language film that is directed by Pankaj Batra. This is a romance film that stars Ninja, Payal Rajput, Amrit Mann and Yograj Singh. This is a remake of the 2016 Marathi film named Sairat. The film follows the life of a wealthy girl named Kainat. She falls in love with her classmate named Jagat who doesn't belong to a wealthy family. The two continue their affair secretly for a long time. But problems started to occur when Kainat's brother and father found out about their affair and wanted to kill Jagat. Now, the couple has to escape Kainat's father and brother in order to lead a happy life.
