Classmates

Classmates, directed by Lal Jose, is a 2006 Malayalam movie starring Prithviraj Sukumaran as Sukumaran and Narain as Murali. This coming of age film falls into the romantic genre, streaming on Hotstar. Produced under the banner Arya Films, “Classmates” depicts a story about a group of college friends who meet again at their reunion. Everything seems to be fine until certain dark secrets peep out to turn their life upside down. While the friends meet up to find the truth behind Murali's death, one after another, the suspense builds, and the culprit gets discovered. This movie later got remade in Tamil as Ninaithale Inikkum and in Telugu and Marathi with the same name as in Malayalam. This movie kind of became a trendsetter and came out as a whole new genre of college-based films.
