Channing Tatum plays an army ranger tasked with taking his late friend's dog to his funeral. Their long journey overseas is interspersed with some wacky encounters and episodes, while dog and man learn from each other's company vital lessons in coping with trauma and grief. It dives into PTSD experienced by US soldiers, through a patchwork of mini narratives. It centres on the relationship Briggs shares with Lulu, the dog. BAFTA winning Thomas Newman has done the score of the film. Tatum also shares directing duties with Reid Carolin.
