Ennu Ninte Moideen

Ennu Ninte Moideen is a 2015 Indian Malayalam film directed by R.S Vimal. This is a romance drama film which follows the story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, two lovers of different castes and their diverging fates. The film is based on true events. Set in the time period of 1960’s, Moideen and Kanchanamala are lovers who’re denied inter-caste marriage. However, they don’t give up on each other and manage to communicate with each other through letters with hidden meaning that only they can decode. Kanchanamala gets caught and is beaten. With time they still manage to come together, but towards the end the lovers get a tragic end as Moideen dies. Kanchanamala decides to take her own life but Moideen’s mother stops her and she lives a sorrowful life.
