Gangaajal

Gangaajal, a 2003 movie, is directed by Prakash Jha. It is an action-packed crime-drama movie starring Ajay Devgn in the lead. The film is roughly based on the 1980 Bhagalpur blindings. It comprises the urge to end the corrupt activities that go around in Bihar.  Ajay Devgn, in the role of IPS Amit Kumar, takes charge of Tezpur district in Bihar which is under the shadow of a corrupt minister Sadhu Yadav.  Amit learns about this and implies honesty towards his subordinates but in vain. Bacha Yadav, one of Amit’s subordinates tries to prove his loyalty and lures Sundar Yadav, son of Sadhu Yadav, to a factory after learning that Sunder has kidnapped a girl. Due to a lack of evidence, Sundar gets acquitted from the court. With all the corrupt activities, bribery, nepotism taking place, forces Amit to become a social fighter rather than a cop.
