Hidden Figures

Hidden Figures, a 2016 American movie, is directed by Theodore Melfi, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+. It is a biographical drama movie, starring Taraji P.Henson, Janelle Monae, and Octavia Spencer. The movie is roughly based on the 2016 non-fiction book, “Hidden Figures” by Margot Lee Shetterly. In 1961, Katherine Johnson, played by Taraji P.Henson, works as a human-computer in the West area computers division in Hampton Virginia, who becomes the first black woman in the American astronauts' team because of her skill in analytic geometry. Towards the end of the movie, Katherine is reassigned to the analysis and computation division. As for the other ladies, Dorothy and Mary, also obtain the mission they were fighting for. In the end, the final scene reveals that Katherine was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.
