Hirkani

Directed by Prasad Oak, produced by Falguni Patel and written by Chinmay Mandlekar, Hirkani is a Marathi historical drama film released in 2019. The film stars Prasad Oak, Sonalee Kulkarni, Makrand Deshpande, Ameet Khedekar and Chinmay Mandlekar. The storyline of this film represents the life of a brave mother named Hira during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. She was a milkmaid and used to deliver milk at the Mahal of Shivaji Maharaj. The gates of the Mahal used to get close by the evening as ordered by Maharaj. The story depicts how Hira climbed off the walls of Raigad Fort, after evening to get back to her infant baby boy. Because of this courageous reason, she was given the title of “Hirkani”.
