I Am Kalam

I Am Kalam, a 2010 movie, is directed by Nila Madhab Panda. It is a comedy-drama and family movie starring Harsh Mayar, Gulshan Grover, and Hussan Saad. The movie revolves around a kid who is so inspired by the former President of India, A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, that he changes his name to Kalam.  Chotu works at a Dhaba near an exclusive resort in Rajasthan, without thinking of any hardships, he truly believes in having dreams and making them true at some point in his life. He is not only supported by his priceless friend, young Ranvijay, who is the prince of the family that owns the resort but also taken care of by Bhatti, the Dhaba owner. Circumstances led Kalam to Delhi, where he wanted to hand over a letter to APJ Abdul Kalam only to let him know that he is an inspiration who taught him that any child can become anyone whether its Lal Bahadur Shastri or the President of India. At the end of the movie, Kalam gets admission to a school with the help of Ranvijay’s father, proving that every child has the right to education.
