Kaazhcha

Kaazhcha is a 2004 Indian Malayalam film directed by Blessy. This is a drama film which follows the story of a young boy who lost his family in the Gujarat earthquake and finds a man who takes a liking to him and treats him like a son. Madhavan is a film projectionist, who’s married to Lakshmi and has a daughter named Ambily. Madhavan meets Pavan, a six year old boy, who has run away from a group of ragpickers. Madhavan and his family treat Pavan nicely and welcome him as one of their own. With time the family, and Pavan form a close bond. However, legal disputes arise as the boy cannot be adopted by Madhavan as the death of his parents cannot be certified. Pavan, if not adopted, ends up in a juvenile home. Will Madhavan be successful in adopting the young boy? or Will the boy and the family will have to separate?
