Kadambari

Kadambari is an Indian Bengali language biopic of Kadambari Devi. The film is produced by Rakesh Singh, directed by Suman Ghosh and the music is composed by Bickram Ghosh. Kadambari Devi is Rabindranath’s sister in law. The cast of the film includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Parambrata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Titas Bhowmik, Sanjoy Nag, Srikanto Acharya, and Sreelekha Mitra. Kadambari is Rabindranath’s elder brother Jyotirindrantha Tagore’s wife. In 1868 Rabindranath met Kadambari while he was 7 and she was 2 years elder. They soon became friends and lay mates. The film shows their life and the bond between the two. Four months after his marriage she committed suicide.
