Katyar Kaljat Ghusali

Directorial debut of Subodh Bhave brings the 2015 Marathi language drama Katyar Kaljat Ghusali starring Shankar Mahadevan, Subodh Bhave & Sachin Pilgaonkar. The movie is based on a play which premiered in 1967. The movie was considered for the UNESCOs Fellini Medal. The Maharaja of the Vishrampur organises an annual singing competition where he hosts Shankar Shastri, an Indian classical singer and Khansaheb Aftab Hussain, another classical singer, two tough contenders for winning the competition prize- mansion, a royal dagger and the title of royal singer. Shankar Shastri is highly respected for his music and Khansaheb is someone who is dead hungry for the title that Shankar Shastri has in society so doesn't even mind resorting to evil ways to win.
