Khamoshi: The Musical, a 1996 movie, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is a romantic-musical and drama film. Annie is a daughter to Joseph and Flavy, who lives in Goa. Joseph and Flavy are a mute and deaf couple, but their offspring Annie and Sam can communicate normally. Annie, played by Manisha Koirala, develops a love for music from her grandmother, Maria, played by Helen. Later, the drastic death of her brother, Sam, takes away music from Annie’s life. While music tends to fade away from Annie’s life growing up, she meets Raj who again makes her fall for music and builds her life musical. Annie falls in love with Raj, played by Salman Khan, and gets pregnant, but her father couldn't accept a Hindu man into his family. Annie marries Raj and named her child, Sam. Towards the end of the movie, Raj and Annie suffer an accident, and Annies goes into a coma. Raj’s continuous tears, and Joseph’s mute speech and hope bring Annie back to consciousness.
