Venky, who goes beyond his limits for his friends, ends up being in trouble with a gangster, Babji. A Manhunt is set up for Venky when he helps his best friend elope with the gangster's daughter as she was forced to marry someone else. Loukyam, a 2014 Telugu action drama film with a gist of comedy was directed by Srinivas with Gopichand and Rakul Preet Singh in the leads. This movie was successful at the box office and got dubbed in Hindi as Ek Khiladi, which was released in 2015 by goldmine telefilms. A scene from the Bollywood movie "Chennai Express" has been copied here, where Shah Rukh Khan carries Deepika Padukone all the way up, using the stairs in his arms. However, initially Chennai Express had also copied the same scene from Mungaru Male. The makers have used a poster from the movie "Us", released in 2014 as Venky's family photo in this movie.
