Prithviraj, as Sam Alex, lives up to the character of a police officer, who becomes an alcoholic after his wife, and daughter get murdered in front of him. The movie would seem to have a revenge plot but then enters another twist with another case in Sam’s life. The case was related to a serial killer who had been killing married men. While the investigation leads Sam to the culprit, he gives up his alcoholic life and strives for a better future ahead. This thriller film, “Memories”, breakthroughs as a well-received and entertaining script. Under Jeethu Joseph’s direction, this crime-thriller was remade with the name "Aarathu Sinam" in Tamil in the year 2016. It won the Kerala State Film Awards in 2014 for Best Cinematography and the Asianet Film Awards in 2014 for the most popular actor. The film received well above average rates and phrases from the critics, such as being a fine entertainer laced with intrigue and consisting of stunning thrills, resulting to be an engaging one.
