Meri Jung

Meri Jung, a 1985 movie, is directed by Subhash Ghai,. It is an action and drama film, starring Anil Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Javed Jaffrey, and Amrish Puri. Young Arun Verma grows up with seeds of revenge in his heart when he comes to know that Thakral framed his father in a murder case. Due to his father’s involvement in the case, not only his mother gets declared as mentally unstable and sent to an institution, but also he and his sister lose all the property their family had. Arun grows up to become a lawyer and closely studies every case of Thakral. Arun gets a case from Geeta and makes his mind to fight for her. He not only wins the case but also falls in love with Geeta. Meanwhile, Vikram Thakral, Thakral’s son, murders his girlfriend. Towards the end of the movie, after reuniting with his mother, Arun decides to put Thakral behind the bars and fights the case against his son. In the end, while Vikram is given the death penalty, his father gets mentally unstable, and Arun’s family reunites again and happily, sings the song they used to sing in their past.
