Set in the year 2054 in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, three clairvoyant humans— Agatha Lively and twins Arthur Arkadin and Dashiell Arkadin— called Precogs are deployed by the police force for predicting impending crimes, determining the location of the crimes, and apprehending criminals before the crime takes place. Things seem to go well until an officer from their unit is accused of committing murder in the future. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the screenplay for the 2002 American science fiction film is written by Scott Frank and Jon Cohen, based on the 1956 short story "The Minority Report" by Philip K. Dick.
