Mom

Mom, a 2017 movie, is directed by Ravi Udyawar. It is a crime-thriller and dramatic film, starring the late Sridevi in the leads. Devki is a step-mother to Arya, who resents her. Although Devki tries to protect her, Arya couldn't understand the love behind her stepmom's discipline and protection. A night changes all their life when Arya is found raped and nearly in the clutches of death by four men. Mohit, Jagan, Charles, and the watchman Babu raped Arya after she rejected Mohit in front of all the people during a valentine's party. Devki, enraged by this horrible sight, determines to avenge Arya. She takes help from DK and starts to punish the four one by one. She paralyzes Charles and blames Mohit. Mathew, investigating the case, suspects Devki and tries to warn her against Jagan, who could be a threat to her family. In the end, Jagan tries to kill Devki but shoots Anand, Devki’s husband. Mathew intervenes during this to save Devki but eventually asks Devi to kill Jagan as he would be able to rescue the judicial system. Devki shoots at Jagan’s head when Arya cries “Mom” at her, and both(Arya and Devki) of them embrace each other.
