"Monchuri" is a Bengali-language film that is set in the unusual Taskar Nagar Institute of Ten-fold Mastery (Dash Mahabidyalay). This unique institute offers a curriculum that covers various unconventional subjects, including Bank robbery honours, pickpocket honours, snatching honours, filching honours, and fake currency printing honours. The toppers of the current batch are Kartik (Saswata Chatterjee) and Ganesh (Biswanath Bose), guided by the institute's determined principal, Dharmadas Maharaj (Kharaj Mukherjee). Dharmadas is unwavering in his dedication to moulding successful thieves.
Kartik and Ganesh have enrolled in the institute with a different agenda – to master the art of "heart-stealth," the most profound form of theft. They soon find themselves in the company of Safai Lal, who aspires to become a future minister and seeks to acquire some tricks of the trade.
The film features a cast that includes Koneenica Banerjee as Koneenica Bandopadhya, Damini Basu as Daminee Bose, Biswanath Bose as Ganesh, Saswata Chatterjee as Kartik (credited as Shaswata Chattopadhya), and Kharaj Mukherjee as Dharmadas Maharaj. It is directed by Premasish Dey and produced by Dhananjoy Laha, Arup Singha Roy, and Rajib Sarkar. The film's music is composed by Raja Narayan Deb.
