Moonrise Kingdom

Moonrise Kingdom, a 2012 movie, is directed by Wes Anderson. It is an American comedy and drama film with a gist of romance, starring Jared Gilman as Sam and Kara Hayward as Suzy. The movie is set in 1965, when 12-year-old orphan Sam Shakusky, attending a Khaki Scout summer camp, meets 12-year-old Suzy Bishop, and becomes pen pals. Suzy lives on the island of New Penzance, the same as Sam, in New England. As they spend time together, their relationship turns into romance, and they run off together to reach a secluded cove on the island. Later, both Sam and Suzy fight off the Khaki Scouts and hike to the cove, which they name "Moonrise Kingdom". They dance together with the growing romance between them and share their first kiss. The morning welcomes Suzy’s parents, Scoutmaster ward, the scouts, and Island Police Captain Duffy Sharp where the innocent love is revealed. Sam and Suzy are separated from each other, and it is decided for Sam to no longer live on that island. However, things turn out for Sam, and a loophole is managed for him to stay on the island of New Penzance and stay in touch with Suzy.
