This adventure film comes from the director Ajith Pillai which depicts the escape plan executed by Alex, who narrates his sorrowful life story in the darkness o a drainage pipe. Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal explores the past life of Alex as he narrates and the reasons behind Akbar’s leading his way towards an island. The significance or relevance of the title reveals since Kuthira Meenukal or swordfish are known for their selfish nature, and Akbar seems to be fitting in that context in human form. As the past unfolds, enchanting visuals of beaches and sea soothes the eyes and mesmerizes the audience despite some flaws. Asif Ali, in the role of Alex and Sunny Wayne, in the role of Akbar Ali, do justice to their characters while they converge to one another as the escape plan is on the run. Alex, after all his attempts, ends up in a drainage pipe but soon breathes the air of freedom, unaware of the shocking revelations ahead. The dazzling islands of Lakshadweep and tales of romance soon turn to something unexpected.
