Aspiring filmmaker Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) lands a job on the set of ‘The Prince and the Showgirl’ (1957), where he witnesses the constant clashes between Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh) and Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams). As Monroe battles insecurities and the weight of her fame, she forms a brief but intimate bond with Colin, who becomes her confidant during a fleeting week of vulnerability and escape.
