Naal

Directed and written by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, Naal is a Marathi drama film released in the year 2018. The film stars Shreenivas Pokale, Nagraj Manjule, Devika Daftardar, Sanket Itankar, Deepti Devi and several others. The storyline of this film revolves around the life of an eight year-old boy named Chaitanya, performed by Shreenivas Pokale. Chaitanya is a fun loving child and is loved, cared & pampered by his parents. However, someone tells Chaitanya that her mother is not the real mother to which he gets upset and tries to distance himself from her. He does a lot of tricks to avoid his mother but at last he realizes that she is her real mother and they both start living happily again. The film won Best First Film of a Director award at the 66th National Film Awards in 2019.
