David, Woody’s son, picks him up from police custody while he is on his way to Lincoln, Nebraska, walking on the shoulder of the roadway to collect a million-dollar sweepstakes prize, only to find out that it is a scam. While David tries to put Woody in a retirement home, Kate, Woody’s wife, becomes annoyed by his insistence on collecting the money. During the whole movie, while Woody is adamant to visit Lincoln for his money that he believes he has won, David, on the other hand, denies his idea of planning any road trip. Nebraska, 2013 movie is directed by Alexander Payne. It is an American comedy-drama film involving a road trip, starring Bruce Dern as Woodrow T. "Woody" Grant and Will Forte as David Grant. David finally drives his father to Lincoln. As they reach the marketing agency, Woody is given a consolation gift as a hat that reads “prize winner” and David gets him a late-model truck and lets Woody take the wheel to make him feel that his days of Independence are not over yet.
