Directed by Ti West, Pearl is an American slasher film that serves as a prequel to the 2022 film X. Co-written by West and Mia Goth who reprises her role as the titular character, the film explores the origins of Pearl and how she became the person she was. Set against the backdrop of World War I in 1918, the film also features performances from David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sutherland, and Emma Jenkins-Purro.
